About

In Stereo Press, Making the Artistic Voice Heard

William Burroughs once said of Jack Kerouac, “Kerouac was a writer because he wrote.” We at In Stereo Press would like to add, “…and he was an artist because he made NOISE!”

Founded March 2008, in Boulder, Colorado, In Stereo Press is an online zine specializing in audio submissions of poetry, prose, and music. We also accept text-only submissions, but In Stereo Press encourages all writers to turn up the volume and let your voice be heard. Recently, with the move of its Editor, Daniel Dissinger, In Stereo Press has extended its reach to New York City, and has broadened the website (www.instereopress.com) with video clips of the successful reading series WHRRDS In Stereo. With the help of Poetry Editor Brendan Hamilton, Prose Editor Kris Miller, and Webmaster Brian Fields, In Stereo Press has built an eclectic library of work. Poetry by up-and-coming writers Olatundji Akpo-Sani, Lisa Birman, Aimee Herman, and Anthony Guilbert enriches the site and complements music from Ideology, Daniel Hales & the Frost Heaves, and Daniel Staniforth.

In Stereo Press is a NEW and EXCITING online publication dedicated to providing a space where contemporary writing, music, and art co-exist. Due to our fast growing readership, In Stereo Press accumulated over 62,000 hits last year. In the next few weeks, In Stereo Press is changing its format to a monthly online issue. With this change in format, and our goal to expand nationally, In Stereo Press will reach 100,000 hits in the six months. Along with the change in format, In Stereo Press will begin to feature: Short Video (also showcased on the brand-new In Stereo Press You Tube channel http://www.youtube.com/InStereoPress), Photography, and Visual/Graphic Art. Submitting to In Stereo Press is fast and easy. All submissions can be emailed to submissions@instereopress.com. Visit our website for submission guidelines, and to look at the talented group of artists you will be joining. Your work can be a part of an ever evolving space of contemporary creativity.
